Another aspect of our research activities is our proprietary antibody engineering platform technology. We have a team of scientists who are leveraging their years of antibody expertise to develop techniques to optimize humanized antibodies. These technologies are applicable regardless of the underlying platform -- chimeric, humanized or fully human -- and enable us to alter specific antibody traits and features.  An example of this is our half-life technology, which enables us to engineer areas of a humanized antibody to increase its half-life, thereby decreasing the number of infusions of an antibody therapeutic and bringing the potential for improved convenience in the clinic.  These technologies also include comprehensive methods to modulate binding affinity, decrease immunogenicity and customize amino acids sequences within the antibody structure.
